Lexember 4, 2020
Welcome to the Lexember Challenge!
Every year, conlangers can take the opportunity for the month of December to challenge ourselves to add a new word to our conlang’s lexicon.
What word have you coined today? Any cultural or associated worldbuilding notes? Tell us about your inspiration!

Well, there wasn’t one of these posted today so I decided to just do it myself. Hopefully Nonniemas comes back to post the rest of these on the normal schedule.
Today the randomizer chose Jafren, and the word I coined was: [cdE], “cold”, off of my short list of wanted roots at the bottom of the file. It’s based on the existing root, [c’dE], “warm”, by lowering the high C by one octave. I don’t know if this is going to be an extensible pattern, but it seemed like the right thing to do in this case.
