Began transferring my lexicon data to my wiki for two languages:
Figured out that in Akachenti, /h/ may be an underlying palatal fricative, but it doesn’t really matter which form is underlying. Am also attempting to beat my head against the copula material and why I’ve got three levels of palatalization and what that could mean from a diachronic perspective. I can’t figure out why I’ve got three levels synchronously and in such a fashion that it doesn’t quite make sense as a conditional palatalization the way I think it ought to.
Once again, I wonder if I can just fake a relationship between Baganechi and Akachenti and Merchan, except fake shows and for once I wanted an actual well-built family. :headdesk:
