The Dailies. June 12

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. Hi guys! I have been travelling hence why I haven’t been around. Am still travelling but trying to make sure it becomes a writing-trip like I meant it to be from now on. So I’ll be around to check out these posts!

I haven’t really touched conlanging in the last week or two. But I did talk about language in spec fic (including conlaning) at a conventioned called Lexicon in New Zealand  (where I’m traveling) last weekend, which was super exciting and I felt a lot less like a dweeb than I thought, heh.

Anyhow, just wanted to pop in and say hi!

  2. I have been a little out of the loop for a couple days. I have found myself collaborating with fellow “glossopoets” to create some sort of collaborative language, much in the same way as Sajem Tan. The intent is to make an alternative language if the Normans lost to the Norwegians. The language will be called, Norelisk. This ought to be interesting.

In other news, I have also joined the Sajem Tan team. I have absolutely no idea what I will be doing, but what the heck?

And now for something completely different. My wife is a professional photographer and she supports my fascination for conlanging (I know, right?). Well, last night she took a ride home and the person who was driving her happened to be creating a gaming app and he mentioned he was looking for someone to help in creating a language for this game; inevitably she through my name out there. I am super curious to see where this leads.

And lastly, I finally made my font usable in ConWorkShop where it actually shows up in its orthography section. Check it out: http://conworkshop.info/view_language.php?l=LTH
