The Dailies. July 2

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. Worked on a very loose “translation” of a poem I enjoy, mostly just seeing how much of the gist I can keep. New usage note: the nouns for man and woman can double as adjectives for male and female respectively, so “old man” would be something like “oldster male” without any further grammatical affixes needed. (Since there are a few important words for people, like “man” and “woman,” that do indicate gender, but then pretty much all the others do not, so it’s easier to just establish who you’re talking about in a conversation once and get it out of the way, especially if you’re translating from a language where it’s more important.)
