The Dailies. July 3

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. Wow. I’m so happy everyone’s been busy while I’ve been… thoroughly absent. Don’t know if I’m going to catch up on all the activity but hoping to put conlanging back on my personal map now that major work project has been pushed through.

Today, my goal is simply to refamiliarize myself with my own conlang material, preferably Akachenti. I’d like to get the protolanging plan done so I can get back to new work on it.

  2. I have been very busy with home life and work life, but intermittently I have been dedicating my time to making a working font for my script. I must say, it is coming along quite nicely. I will install the finished font on my computer and see how well it works. In the meantime, I provided a screen shot of the work in progress for you all to enjoy.

  3. A couple compounds, but even more roots:

    pwē: about (to talk about)

hondwā: street, road (that you can drive on)

yikū: trail, way (for walking or biking)

empōēvi: to follow/observe (as a religion)
