čunikase, childbearing-couple. That is to say, a pair of people that have had or are expected to have children. Separate from ikase, which is for any pair of people who live together as chosen family. Both of which are lexical remnants of the former dual inflection, -ka.
I really dig this. I haven’t given any thought about family dynamics outside of family member names.
