The Dailies. January 30

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. I’ve been working on moving stuff over to my dictionary tonight because I’m too tired to write, hah. My dictionary is now up to X words! Yay!

I’ve finally gotten to some of the words that I’ve been avoiding moving because they weren’t just a word-for-word translations and needed some (little) worldbuilding decisions. So I’ll show those here:

EMEŠOD (emeʃud) • a hood-less cloak worn over one or two shoulders and fastened with a clasp, or a wider cloak wrapped entirely around the shoulders and worn with no clasp

TEJRAS (tejɹas) • sleeping mat, also the spot where one’s sleeping mat in placed (usually by a hearth)  – I think this word is also what one would use for “sharing someone’s bed” in the sense of sex, so I’m wondering if I could make some interesting derived words from that.

Only two for today but still. The list of words randomly strewn about my “grammar” file is getting smaller at least so that’s good.
