The Dailies. February 2

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. gukka, to hurt oneself doing something that seemed safe, by extension, to cause any bad outcome by accident. (Patientive-intransitive)

Coined because I cut my finger earlier while trying to take the DVD burner out of my old computer, which was terribly unpleasant. (It turns out that punch-cut aluminum can be quite sharp.) I tried to write that sentence (well, a simplified version) in Firen but it’s late and I’m too exhausted from the last few days to make all the words I need for it. Also, obviously, Firen will never have words meaning “DVD” or “computer” (at least not in the sense we know). But maybe when I am working on the language to be derived from it, it would be an interesting diversion to derive some technological terms.
