The Dailies. October 26

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. So I’ve spent the last few days reading and noodling and trying on various linguistic theories on for size with Akachenti but have nothing final to show for it yet.

Yesterday, I did add two new words to the dragon vocabulary:

dishi • yes in response to a yes-no question, which is also to remain uninflected (vs. dono, yes in response to a command from an elder or parent)

-tok • a copular construction meaning “it is”, as in dishi-tok, “it’s dishi” in explanation to a child asking whether to inflect the word for gender
