The Dailies. December 22, 2019

Did you work on your language today? Create any new rules of grammar or syntax? New progress on a script? New words in your lexicon?

On the other hand, do any excavating or reading or enjoying stuff you’ve already created? Do you have any favorites to share?

How did you conlang today?

  1. I had a conlanging stream today and made some progress! I now have two verbal particles:

twa is a future marker, and mne marks the present progressive. As such I kept working on that list of sentences to translate and added:

Om daw mne lēnǣt (the sun is shining)
Om daw twa lēnǣt (the sun will shine)

Additionally I added the work aom (new) and naom (again, “with new”), and also nelin (brightly) from previously coined lin (bright), and the sentences:
Om daw mne lēnǣt naom (the sun is shining again)
    Om daw lēnǣt nelin

I’m not 100% sure about the placement of the adverbs, I need to read up about that stuff… And also about aspect and mood generally, because there’s also the sentence “the sun has been shining” in the list and I don’t know what to do with that at the moment.

    1. Very nice! I like these a lot.

I’ve been very swamped this December so am totally behind on both appreciating your guys’ conlangs and doing anything with my own, but congrats on all the conlanging!
