Not today but earlier this week on stream I decided to stop waffling about feeling like I needed full phonologies for the ethnic groups in my steampunk setting in order to name them, and just… made cool names. That sounded like what I kinda want those conlangs to sound like. Then I can base the phonologies on the names later, and tweak the names as needed as I develop stuff.
Anyway, just for funsies here are the names of my ethnic/cultural groups: To’es, Nãotaal, Mberth, Tylnaltet, Hinjem, Inerkh and Dalem Owi.
I know it’s not terribly interesting in a vacuum with no context but I wanted to share because I think they sound cool XD
I like the look/sound of them! Sometimes you just gotta wing it.
Thanks! Also yup – it’s too easy to get stuck in your own head and winging it is a good cure for that I think!
