  1. I’m finally typing up notes! So this was actually done… a bit ago but have an update.

So for Mirishti, I noticed a bit of a pattern and wrote it up.

Where adj. root > nominalized (coll.) > verbed:

    1. ókhlamed > khlamdé > okhlamdót / okhlamdét
    2. boakhéver > boakhvé > boakhvrót / boakhvrét
    3. náiager > naiagé > naiagrót / naiagrét
    4. boaséd > boasdé > boasdót / boasdét
    5. ekhléde > khledé > khledót / khledét

That is, the nominalized form of an adjectival root is consonant-initial (loses any initial vowels), loses the last vowel before the last consonant, then adds the nominalizing vowel -é, which takes the stress.

    1. Oh, very neat!

What is the distinction between the two different verb forms, like okhlamdót / okhlamdét? Wait, never mind, found the answer in an earlier post – it’s Class I vs Class II agreement, right?

(By the way, I haven’t gotten post notifications for a while … I thought this place had gone all quiet again!)

      1. Yes! I’m very sorry about that. The notifications plugin is… not working right. Basically, I unwisely upgraded to a version I didn’t realize was going to just die ignobly and had the wrong version saved on backup.
