And today’s words are basically just nominal versions of known adjectives:
Technically, these are both Adan generation, so might be different by a bit in Kolos (story’s present day).
Refresh my memory – “div” stands for divine, correct? A grammatical gender for divinities?
Yes!
The War Clans have four grammatical genders / noun classes at this point, which are basically masculine, feminine, divine/natural, and neuter, with a predictable penchant for this to be more grammatical and less semantic over time. Feminization and masculinization of names and use of personal pronouns are currently the only real instances of semantic gender taking precedence over grammatical.
