  1. So on Kofnea-Kolos, like very, very Kolos generation and not older, we’ve got some interesting developments on the verb front with pronominal endings popping up for the absolutive argument of intransitive verbs.

    Example sentences meaning the same thing:

    • ou yagueshi-nihaenn nihn – I (give) love (to) you (intentionally)
    • yagueshini-chahaenni – I (give) love (toward) you (intentionally)

     

    We’ve previously mentioned the hey, let’s just detransitivize via allative verb agreement, but that finally appended pronoun is kind of an obvious development with all those n sounds bunched up together. So starts with 1st person pronouns and sort of starts grabbing other pronouns as long as they flow well and can be easily differentiated. Not sure if this is going to end up being used as verb agreement in any cases, as most of my examples, it seems to really just replace the freestanding pronoun, since it’s a contraction more than “agreement.”
